Europe: European Forum on Street Children 2010

4 Nov 2010

PPP International, in collaboration with our partner organisation the European Federation for Street Children, is pleased to invite you to the European Forum on Street Children 2010, to be held from 25th – 26th November in London.
Following successful events in Lisbon in 2008 and Budapest last year, the theme of this year’s forum will be: Youth Rebellions in European Metropolis - Second and third generation migrant children andadolescents in search of their place in society: challenges to national and EU policies under the new Lisbon Treaty.

The conference will focus on the inclusion and integration of migrant children and young people, whilst exploring the affects of migration on social exclusion. The long-term social impact of migration, its relationship with urban violence, the situation of ethnic minorities and the risk factors to which the children in question are exposed will be analysed as a means of identifying innovative responses to the needs of vulnerable young people, families and communities at the European and national levels.

This conference is co-financed by the European Community Programme for Employment and Social Solidarity (2007-2013) PROGRESS. As such, we are able to charge a subsidised delegate fee of only £70 for the conference, including lunch on the second day. However, we would not wish this cost to be prohibitive, so please contact us if this fee would be a problem.
