The Ecuadorian Police has taken over the airport and all national police bases are closed. The army is also part of this. The areas of the airport and the Regimiento Quito by the Occidental Street and by the Metropolitan Hospital are currently closed. There are other streets around the city that are blocked as well.
According to the President Correa, the assambly will be disolved and there will be new elections.
