Pathways to Metropolis - Call for Papers/Workshops

> Pathways to Metropolis - Call for Papers/Workshops
> Greetings
>
> Pathways to Metropolis in the 21st Century will be held from 24-26 October at Massey University, Albany, Auckland. In the usual tradition of our annual 'Pathways' conferences there will be no registration fee for this event. The conference is expected to attract up to 300 delegates and offer high-level plenary sessions and more than 25 workshops. The event provides an opportunity for those attending to discuss critical issues related to immigration, identify research and policy gaps, compare international experiences and extend networking capacities. The conference will be of interest to policy makers, representatives from community/service providers, including non-governmental organisations (NGOs), as well as academic researchers.
>
> The conference will comprise a mix of international plenary speakers in the morn! ing and workshops in the afternoon. We invite you to submit your workshop proposal or conference paper by 1 August. We will accept those proposals that best fit the conference themes: Futures in our Asia-Pacific Neighbourhood: Megatrends and Scenarios; Future Workforces: Skills for the 21st Century Economy; and Futures for the Metropolis: Pathways for Development in Auckland and Beyond.
>
> Although not a requirement, we encourage workshops with representatives from more than one sector (academic; service and community providers; and government/policy).
