Rescatan a 622 niños en la frontera argentina

Secuestros: Las únicas cifras disponibles son las del Consulado argentino en Villazón-Bolivia.

Interminables filas de gente que espera su turno, a toda hora, en los puestos de Migraciones del puente que une La Quiaca (Argentina) con Villazón (Bolivia), hacen pensar en controles fronterizos estrictos. Sin embargo, el Consulado argentino en esa ciudad boliviana ya tuvo que intervenir centenares de veces desde octubre de 2007, por casos de niñas y niños desaparecidos en ese país, o menores bolivianos que se esfumaron en la Argentina, informó el diario Clarín.

Rescatan a 17 menores que eran sometidos a explotación laboral

Mafia al descubierto. Clan familiar los reclutó en Puno, Cusco y Huaraz. Fueron traídos a Lima y obligados a trabajar en distintos mercados. Vivían hacinados con otros 16 jóvenes en dos viviendas ubicadas en Puente Piedra.

La policía nigeriana entró hace días en una presunta granja de bebés en la que madres adolescentes eran forzadas a entregar a sus hijos recién nacidos a traficantes de personas. Hasta 32 mujeres embarazadas fueron rescatadas de esta casa de maternidad gestionada por una organización de traficantes en la ciudad sureña de Abá, según los agentes.

La trata de menores de edad "es la principal forma de esclavitud en España"

La Organización no Gubernamental (ONG) Save the Children ha denunciado que la trata de menores de edad "es la principal forma de esclavitud en España" y que los niños víctimas de este problema "son los esclavos del siglo XXI".

   Con motivo de la celebración este sábado del Día Internacional contra la Esclavitud Infantil, Save the Children ha precisado que "entre un 40 y un 60 ciento de los dos millones y medio de personas víctimas de la trata son niños y niñas" y ha precisado que "unas 500.000 personas afectadas estarían en Europa Occidental".
